Dr. Baer's experience consists of thirty years of teaching experience at Harvard Medical School affiliated Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, 13 years managerial experience at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates as the Chief of Obstetric and Gynecology Department, and 30 years    as a practicing OBGYN doctor at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates.

In 1997 we were the first to offer uterine fibroid embolization (UFE) in the New England Region. Since then, we have treated more than 1200 patients with symptomatic uterine fibroids, which is more than any individual physician team or institution in New England Region.  The key to our success has been our unique team between a gynecologist and radiologist.  This unique teamwork and full-featured practice allow us to meet the patient’s and referring physician’s needs and to provide outstanding service to them. We have achieved excellent technical success (>99%) as well as clinical success (>95%) with a low complication rate (<1%). The outcome of our procedures has compared favorably to others.
